I was somewhat hesitant about starting a blog. All the talk of 'followers' and members of the public listening to what you have to say and you preaching advice to them left me a little unsettled for some reason. I feel it's akin to Jesus and his disciples! People blindly worshiping this man, taking what he had to say as gospel and following his advice without question because he was 'the holy one' and someone told them so.

Who knew Jesus was so good looking ;)

I am absolutely NOT going to get into a religious debate here and this is not my intention to discuss pros and cons of faith. However, I do want to highlight the concept of 'free thought'. It's something we are a slowly losing as a nation. The ability to think for ourselves.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with listening to advice, especially from someone who has more experience than you or someone who has done more research or is an expert in the field. But just remember this. On your journey through this minefield of health and wellness 'advice' do the research yourself. Trust no one! Especially if the person giving the advice stands to make money from it i.e. if they are promoting a food product, exercise machine, course or regime. Of course they are going to manipulate the facts to market it to you, the vulnerable individual with the wad of cash who has a dream to look like the person on the cover of the magazine.

Take the advice you hear and conduct your own research. Do your own experiment or make your own judgement. Hey! Don't even trust what I am telling you! Remember you are an intelligent human being with vast intellectual ability. Empower yourself with the tools to make your own judgement and do your own research. There is no 'right or wrong' when it comes to this stuff. There is just a constantly evolving journey on the path to becoming the best possible version of you!
